Teresa Scanlan is an American beauty pageant title holder from Gering, Nebraska who was named Miss Nebraska 2010, subsequently winning Miss America 2011 and becoming the youngest Miss America since Bette Cooper in 1937.
Teresa Scanlan won the title of Miss America 2011 on Saturday night at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The 17-year-old from Gering, Nebraska beat more than 53 talented women across the United States for The 90th annual Miss America Pageant.
Miss Nebraska, Teresa Scanlan has made history by winning this title as she is the youngest winner ever in the pageant’s history. She received a luxury crown and sash from Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron.
